Aspects of the disclosure provide an electronic device including processing circuitry and a method for radio resource management (RRM) measurements. The processing circuitry determines, based on a signal received in a serving cell for the electronic device, a location and mobility of the electronic device. The electronic device is in one of a first state and a second state for RRM measurements. A normal level of RRM measurements is implemented for one or more neighboring cells when the electronic device is in the first state, and a relaxed level of RRM measurements is implemented for the one or more neighboring cells when the electronic device is in the second state. The processing circuitry determines whether the electronic device is to be switched from the one of the first state and the second state to another of the first state and the second state based on the mobility and the location.

Selon certains aspects, l'invention concerne un dispositif électronique comprenant des circuits de traitement et un procédé de mesure de gestion de ressources radio (RRM). Les circuits de traitement déterminent, en fonction d'un signal reçu dans une cellule de desserte pour le dispositif électronique, un emplacement et une mobilité du dispositif électronique. Le dispositif électronique est dans un premier état et dans un second état pour des mesures RRM. Un niveau normal de mesures RRM est mis en œuvre pour une ou plusieurs cellules voisines lorsque le dispositif électronique est dans le premier état, et un niveau relâché de mesures RRM est mis en œuvre pour la ou les cellules voisines lorsque le dispositif électronique est dans le second état. Les circuits de traitement déterminent si le dispositif électronique doit passer du premier état au second état ou du second état au premier état en fonction de la mobilité et de l'emplacement.
