La présente invention concerne un panneau d'affichage et son procédé de commande ainsi qu'un appareil d'affichage, le panneau d'affichage comprenant une unité d'affichage et un module de rétroéclairage, l'unité d'affichage comprenant une région d'affichage primaire et une région d'ajout de fonction ; le module de rétroéclairage comprenant un premier bloc de source de lumière fournissant une source de lumière pour la région d'affichage primaire et un second bloc de source de lumière fournissant une source de lumière pour la région d'ajout de fonction, le premier et le second bloc de source de lumière étant chacun indépendamment entraînés et commandés.
