Abstract

An illuminable electronic connector for facilitating connection with an electronic device having an illumination circuit with at least one illumination source, and an on-board power source for supplying power to the illumination source in at least some modes of operation. The connector may be configured to adjust brightness of the illumination source based on ambient light conditions using an on-board light sensor. A touch sensing input may also be provided to operate the illumination source. The connector may be further operable to enter a sleep mode when it enters a shipping phase of a supply chain and then to automatically activate the illumination source when it is unpackaged at the end of the shipping phase. An electronic device including an electronic visual interface, such as a mobile phone, may be also operated in a similar manner based on the phase of the device within a supply chain.

L'invention concerne un connecteur électronique pouvant être éclairé pour faciliter la connexion avec un dispositif électronique ayant un circuit d'éclairage avec au moins une source d'éclairage, et une source d'alimentation embarquée pour fournir de l'énergie à la source d'éclairage dans au moins certains modes de fonctionnement. Le connecteur peut être configuré pour ajuster la luminosité de la source d'éclairage sur la base de conditions de lumière ambiante à l'aide d'un capteur de lumière embarqué. Une entrée de détection tactile peut également être fournie pour faire fonctionner la source d'éclairage. Le connecteur peut en outre fonctionner pour entrer en mode sommeil lorsqu'il entre dans une phase d'expédition d'une chaîne d'approvisionnement, puis pour activer automatiquement la source d'éclairage lorsqu'il n'est pas emballé à la fin de la phase d'expédition. Un dispositif électronique comprenant une interface visuelle électronique, tel qu'un téléphone mobile, peut également fonctionner de manière similaire sur la base de la phase du dispositif à l'intérieur d'une chaîne d'approvisionnement.
