The information processing device comprises a recording unit recording onto a magnetic recording medium a plurality of objects containing data and metadata related to the data, and after recording at least one object, executing processing whereby first grouped data, which is a grouping of the metadata contained in each of the objects, is recorded. The first grouped data is a grouping of the metadata contained in objects recorded after a completed recording of an immediately preceding first grouped data. The magnetic recording medium has a magnetic layer including a ferromagnetic powder and a binder on a nonmagnetic support. Measured by optical interferometry on the magnetic layer surface after washing with n-hexane and under pressure forces of 0.5 atm and 13.5 atm, the difference between the spacings S0.5 and S13.5 is 3.0 nm or less.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de traitement d'informations qui comprend une unité d'enregistrement enregistrant sur un support d'enregistrement magnétique une pluralité d'objets contenant des données et des métadonnées associées aux données, et après l'enregistrement d'au moins un objet, exécutant un traitement par lequel des premières données regroupées, qui sont un regroupement des métadonnées contenues dans chacun des objets, est enregistré. Les premières données regroupées constituent un regroupement des métadonnées contenues dans des objets enregistrés après un enregistrement complet de premières données regroupées immédiatement précédentes. Le support d'enregistrement magnétique comprend une couche magnétique comprenant une poudre ferromagnétique et un liant sur un support non magnétique. Mesurée par interférométrie optique sur la surface de la couche magnétique après lavage avec du n-hexane et sous des forces de pression de 0,5 atm et 13,5 atm, la différence entre les espacements S0.5 et S13.5 est inférieure ou égale à 3,0 nm.
