Abstract

A method for improving flexibility of a circuit board, e.g., comprising a touch-based sensor, and reducing manufacturing costs by eliminating routing around a border of the touch-based sensor is presented herein. The method comprises forming an array of touch sensors on a first side of the circuit board, in which portions of the circuit board located between three edges of the circuit board and a border of the array of touch sensors exclude traces; and forming first traces between respective second traces in a singular direction on a second side of the circuit board, in which the first traces are electrically coupled, using a first group of vias, to respective rows of the array of touch sensors, and the second traces are electrically coupled, using a second group of vias, to respective columns of the array of touch sensors.

La présente invention concerne un procédé d'amélioration de la flexibilité d'une carte de circuit imprimé, par ex., comprenant un capteur tactile, et réduisant les coûts de fabrication par élimination du routage autour d'une bordure du capteur tactile. Le procédé comprend les étapes consistant à former un réseau de capteurs tactiles sur un premier côté de la carte de circuit imprimé, des parties de la carte de circuit imprimé étant situées entre trois bords de la carte de circuit imprimé et une bordure du réseau de capteurs tactiles excluant des traces ; et former des premières traces entre des secondes traces respectives dans une direction unique sur un second côté de la carte de circuit imprimé, les premières traces étant couplées électriquement, en utilisant un premier groupe de trous d'interconnexion, à des rangées respectives du réseau de capteurs tactiles, et les secondes traces étant couplées électriquement, en utilisant un second groupe de trous d'interconnexion, à des colonnes respectives du réseau de capteurs tactiles.
