Abstract

Optical waveguides and couplers for delivering light to an array of photonic elements in a photonic integrated device. The photonic integrated device and related instruments and systems may be used to analyze samples in parallel. The photonic integrated device may include a grating coupler configured to receive light from an external light source and optically couple with multiple waveguides configured to optically couple with sample wells of the photonic integrated device.

L'invention concerne des guides d'ondes optiques et des coupleurs pour fournir de la lumière à un réseau d'éléments photoniques dans un dispositif photonique intégré. Le dispositif photonique intégré ainsi que les instruments et systèmes associés peuvent être utilisés pour analyser des échantillons en parallèle. Le dispositif photonique intégré peut comprendre un coupleur de réseau conçu pour recevoir de la lumière provenant d'une source de lumière externe et couplé optiquement à de multiples guides d'ondes conçus pour le couplage optique avec des puits d'échantillon du dispositif photonique intégré .
