A system and method capable of encoding design intent for an article of manufacture wherein the original design intent encoding is abstract from any particular manufacturing process or machine, but allows for dynamic process adjustment accounting for real-world variations of stock material such that the design intent is preserved and the processing time and effort are not significantly affected. Because design intent is preserved, tool selection and machine process can be optimized to maximize quality and minimize manufacturing time and cost.

La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé capables de coder une intention de conception pour un article de fabrication, le codage d'intention de conception d'origine étant résumé à partir de n'importe quel procédé ou machine de fabrication particulière, mais permettant un ajustement de processus dynamique représentant des variations du monde réel du matériau de stock de telle sorte que l'intention de conception est préservée et que le temps de traitement et l'effort ne sont pas affectés de manière significative. Étant donné que l'intention de conception est préservée, la sélection d'outil et le processus de machine peuvent être optimisés afin de maximiser la qualité et de minimiser le temps et le coût de fabrication.
