A navigation system receives a request for navigation directions to a destination. In response to the request, the navigation system identifies a two-dimensional shape enclosing multiple access points, to which the destination is logically mapped. The navigation system further selects an access point from the multiple access points as a preferred destination, and generates navigation directions to the preferred destination in response to the request.

La présente invention concerne un système de navigation qui reçoit une demande de directions de navigation vers une destination. En réponse à la demande, le système de navigation identifie une forme bidimensionnelle renfermant de multiples points d'accès, auxquels la destination est logiquement mappée. Le système de navigation sélectionne en outre un point d'accès parmi les multiples points d'accès en tant que destination préférée et génère des directions de navigation vers la destination préférée en réponse à la demande.
