Methods and apparatuses for neighbor discovery and wireless inter-connection in a wireless communication system. A method for operating a base station (BS) in the wireless communication network includes generating measurement information regarding neighboring BSs of the BS in the wireless communication network; determining a first parent BS of the neighboring BSs to connect to based on the measurement information; performing an initial access procedure with the first parent BS to connect to the first parent BS; identifying an end-to-end route for the BS for transfer of data between a user equipment (UE) and a gateway via the wireless communication network; and transferring the data between the gateway and the UE based on the identified end-to-end route.

La présente invention concerne des procédés et des appareils de découverte de voisin et d'inter-connexion sans fil dans un système de communication sans fil. Un procédé pour exploiter une station de base (BS) dans le réseau de communication sans fil comprend la génération d'informations de mesure concernant les BS voisines de la BS dans le réseau de communication sans fil; la détermination d'une première BS parente des BS voisines à laquelle se connecter sur la base des informations de mesure; l'exécution d'une procédure d'accès initial avec la première BS parente pour se connecter à la première BS parente; l'identification d'une route de bout en bout pour la BS pour le transfert de données entre un équipement utilisateur (UE) et une passerelle via le réseau de communication sans fil; et le transfert des données entre la passerelle et l'UE sur la base de la route de bout en bout identifiée.
