An image decoding method performed by a decoding apparatus according to the present document comprises the steps of: determining that a merge with motion vector difference (MMVD) mode has been applied to a current block that is a current picture referencing (CPR) coding block referring to a current picture; deriving a base motion information candidate for the current block on the basis of candidate blocks neighboring the current block ; generating prediction samples for the current block on the basis of the base motion information candidate; and generating reconstruction samples for the current block on the basis of the prediction samples, wherein the base motion information candidate is derived depending on whether the neighboring candidate blocks are CPR coding blocks.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de décodage d'image mis en œuvre par un appareil de décodage consistant : à déterminer qu'une fusion avec un mode de différence de vecteur de mouvement (MMVD) a été appliquée à un bloc en cours constituant un bloc de codage de référencement d'image en cours (CPR) se référant à une image en cours ; à dériver des informations de mouvement de base candidates du bloc en cours en fonction de blocs candidats voisins du bloc en cours ; à générer des échantillons de prédiction du bloc en cours en fonction des informations de mouvement de base candidates ; et à générer des échantillons de reconstruction du bloc en cours en fonction des échantillons de prédiction, les informations de mouvement de base candidates étant dérivées selon que les blocs candidats voisins constituent ou non des blocs de codage CPR.

본 문서에 따른 디코딩 장치에 의해 수행되는 영상 디코딩 방법은, 현재 픽처를 참조하는 CPR(current picture referencing) 코딩 블록인 현재 블록에 대해 MMVD(merge with motion vector difference) 모드가 적용되는 것으로 판단하는 단계, 상기 현재 블록의 주변 후보 블록들을 기반으로 상기 현재 블록에 대한 베이스 움직임 정보 후보를 도출하는 단계, 상기 베이스 움직임 정보 후보를 기반으로 상기 현재 블록에 대한 예측 샘플들을 생성하는 단계, 및 상기 예측 샘플들을 기반으로 상기 현재 블록에 대한 복원 샘플들을 생성하는 단계를 포함하며, 상기 베이스 움직임 정보 후보는 상기 주변 후보 블록들이 CPR 코딩 블록인지 여부를 기반으로 도출되는 것을 특징으로 한다.
