A method for decoding an image by a decoding apparatus according to the present document comprises the steps of: receiving a bit stream including prediction information of a current block; configuring a merge candidate list with respect to the current block; deriving motion information of the current block on the basis of a merge candidate indicated by a candidate flag of the current block in the merge candidate list; deriving an MVD of the current block on the basis of MVD information of the current block and whether or not integer sample precision or fractional sample precision is used in the motion information; deriving modified motion information of the current block on the basis of the motion information and the MVD; and performing prediction of the current block on the basis of the modified motion information, wherein the prediction information includes the candidate flag and the MVD information.

L'invention concerne un procédé de décodage d'une image par un appareil de décodage comprenant les étapes suivantes consistant : à recevoir un train de bits comprenant des informations de prédiction d'un bloc courant; à configurer une liste de candidats de fusion par rapport au bloc courant; à dériver des informations de mouvement du bloc courant sur la base d'un candidat de fusion indiqué par un indicateur candidat du bloc courant dans la liste de candidats de fusion; à dériver un MVD du bloc courant sur la base d'informations MVD du bloc courant et selon qu'une précision d'échantillon de nombre entier ou une précision d'échantillon fractionnaire est ou non utilisée dans les informations de mouvement; à dériver des informations de mouvement modifiées du bloc courant sur la base des informations de mouvement et du MVD; et à effectuer une prédiction du bloc courant sur la base des informations de mouvement modifiées, les informations de prédiction comprenant l'indicateur candidat et les informations MVD.
