Disclosed in the present invention are a method for processing video signals and a device therefor. Specifically, a method for processing video signals on the basis of inter-prediction comprises the steps of: construct a merge candidate list on the basis of blocks spatially and temporally neighboring a current block; adding, to the merge candidate list, a history-based merge candidate of the current block; acquiring, within the merge candidate list, a merge index for indicating a merge candidate to be used in inter-prediction for the current block; generating a prediction sample for the current block on the basis of the motion information of the merge candidate indicated by the merge index; and updating the history-based merge candidate list on the basis of the motion information, wherein, when having motion information not overlapping that of a merge candidate previously defined from among the merge candidates included in the merge candidate list, the history-based merge candidate can be added to the merge candidate list.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de traitement de signaux vidéo et un dispositif associé. Spécifiquement, un procédé de traitement de signaux vidéo sur la base d'une prédiction inter peut comprendre les étapes consistant à: construire une liste de candidats de fusion sur la base de blocs spatialement et temporellement voisins d'un bloc courant; ajouter, à la liste de candidats de fusion, un candidat de fusion basé sur l'historique qui est basé sur un historique du bloc courant; acquérir, dans la liste de candidats de fusion, un indice de fusion indiquant un candidat de fusion à utiliser dans la prédiction inter pour le bloc courant; générer un échantillon de prédiction pour le bloc courant sur la base d'informations de mouvement du candidat de fusion indiqué par l'indice de fusion; et mettre à jour la liste de candidats de fusion basée sur l'historique sur la base des informations de mouvement, de sorte que lorsque les informations de mouvement ne chevauchant pas celles qu'un candidat de fusion défini préalablement parmi les candidats de fusion inclus dans la liste de candidats de fusion, le candidat de fusion basé sur l'historique peut être ajouté à la liste de candidats de fusion.

본 발명에서는 비디오 신호를 처리하는 방법 및 이를 위한 장치가 개시된다. 구체적으로, 인터 예측을 기반으로 비디오 신호를 처리하는 방법에 있어서, 현재 블록의 공간 및 시간 이웃 블록에 기초하여 머지 후보 리스트 를 구성하는 단계; 상기 현재 블록의 히스토리 기반 머지 후보를 상기 머지 후보 리스트에 추가하는 단계; 상기 머지 후보 리스트 내에서 상기 현재 블록의 인터 예측에 이용되는 머지 후보를 지시하는 머지 인덱스를 획득하는 단계; 상기 머지 인덱스에 의해 지시되는 머지 후보의 모션 정보에 기초하여 상기 현재 블록의 예측 샘플을 생성하는 단계; 및 상기 모션 정보에 기초하여 히스토리 기반 머지 후보 리스트를 업데이트 하는 단계를 포함하되, 상기 히스토리 기반 머지 후보는 상기 머지 후보 리스트에 포함된 머지 후보들 중에서 미리 정의된 머지 후보와 중복되지 않는 모션 정보를 갖는 경우, 상기 머지 후보 리스트에 추가될 수 있다.
