A method for processing a video signal and an apparatus therefor are disclosed. In particular, a method for processing a video signal on the basis of inter prediction may comprise the steps of: composing a first merging candidate list of a current block by using a space merging candidate and a time merging candidate of the current block; composing a second merging candidate list by adding, to the first merging candidate list, a history-based merging candidate representing motion information of a block coded prior to the current block; acquiring a merging index which indicates a merging candidate applied to the current block in the second merging candidate list; producing a prediction block of the current block by using motion information of the merging candidate indicated by the merging index; and updating a history-based candidate list on the basis of the motion information of the merging candidate.

L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement d'un signal vidéo et un appareil associé. En particulier, un procédé de traitement d'un signal vidéo sur la base d'une inter-prédiction peut comprendre les étapes consistant à : composer une première liste de candidats de fusion d'un bloc courant en faisant appel à un candidat de fusion spatiale et à un candidat de fusion temporelle du bloc courant ; composer une seconde liste de candidats de fusion en ajoutant, à la première liste de candidats de fusion, un candidat de fusion basé sur un historique représentant des informations de mouvement d'un bloc codé avant le bloc courant ; acquérir un indice de fusion qui indique un candidat de fusion appliqué au bloc courant dans la seconde liste de candidats de fusion ; produire un bloc de prédiction du bloc courant en faisant appel aux informations de mouvement du candidat de fusion indiqué par l'indice de fusion ; et mettre à jour une liste de candidats basée sur un historique sur la base des informations de mouvement du candidat de fusion.

본 발명에서는 비디오 신호를 처리하는 방법 및 이를 위한 장치가 개시된다. 구체적으로, 인터 예측을 기반으로 비디오 신호를 처리하는 방법에 있어서, 현재 블록의 공간 머지 후보 및 시간 머지 후보를 이용하여 상기 현재 블록의 제1 머지 후보 리스트를 구성하는 단계; 상기 현재 블록 이전에 코딩된 블록의 모션 정보를 나타내는 히스토리 기반 머지 후보를 상기 제1 머지 후보 리스트에 추가함으로써 제2 머지 후보 리스트를 구성하는 단계; 상기 제2 머지 후보 리스트 내에서 상기 현재 블록에 적용되는 머지 후보를 지시하는 머지 인덱스를 획득하는 단계; 상기 머지 인덱스에 의해 지시되는 머지 후보의 모션 정보를 이용하여 상기 현재 블록의 예측 블록을 생성하는 단계; 및 상기 머지 후보의 모션 정보에 기초하여 히스토리 기반 후보 리스트를 업데이트하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
