A decoding device according to the present document performs the steps of: acquiring, from an image decoding bitstream, prediction mode information about a current block and information related to block partitioning; deriving a prediction mode of the current block as an intra block copy (IBC) prediction mode on the basis of the prediction mode information; deriving a block vector of the current block on the basis of the IBC prediction mode; and generating prediction samples of the current block on the basis of restoration samples in a current picture indicated by the block vector, wherein the current block is a block partitioned on the basis of the information related to the block partitioning, the current block comprises a luma block or a chroma block related to the luma block, the information related to the block partitioning individually comprises information related to the size of the luma block and information related to the size of the chroma block, and the information related to the block partitioning is included in a sequence parameter set (SPS) syntax.

La présente invention concerne un dispositif de décodage qui exécute les étapes consistant : à acquérir, à partir d'un train de bits de décodage d'image, des informations de mode de prédiction concernant un bloc courant et des informations relatives au partitionnement de bloc; à dériver un mode de prédiction du bloc courant en tant que mode de prédiction de copie intra-bloc (IBC) sur la base des informations de mode de prédiction; à dériver un vecteur de bloc du bloc courant sur la base du mode de prédiction IBC; et à générer des échantillons de prédiction du bloc courant sur la base d'échantillons de restauration dans une image courante indiquée par le vecteur de bloc, le bloc courant étant un bloc partitionné sur la base des informations relatives au partitionnement de bloc, le bloc courant comprenant un bloc de luminance ou un bloc de chrominance associé au bloc de luminance, les informations relatives au partitionnement de bloc comprenant individuellement des informations relatives à la taille du bloc de luminance et des informations relatives à la taille du bloc de chrominance, et les informations relatives au partitionnement de bloc étant incluses dans une syntaxe d'ensemble de paramètres de séquence (SPS).
