A method for decoding an image by a decoding apparatus according to the present document comprises the steps of: obtaining merge with motion vector difference (MMVD) flag information of a current block from a bit stream; determining whether or not the current block is a current picture referencing (CPR) coding block; if the current block is a CPR coding block, deriving base motion information; deriving motion information of the current block on the basis of the base motion information; generating prediction samples of the current block on the basis of the motion information; and generating reconstruction samples of the current block on the basis of the prediction samples, wherein the MMVD flag information indicates whether or not motion information is derived when the MMVD is applied to the current block, and the CPR coding block is a block coded by using a current picture including the current block as a reference picture.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de décodage d'une image par un appareil de décodage comprenant les étapes suivantes : obtention d'une fusion avec une information de fanion de différence de vecteur de mouvement (MMVD) d'un bloc actuel à partir d'un train de bits ; détermination si le bloc actuel est ou non un bloc de codage de référencement d'image actuel (CPR) ; si le bloc actuel est un bloc de codage de CPR, dérivation d'informations de mouvement de base ; dérivation d'informations de mouvement du bloc actuel sur la base des informations de mouvement de base ; génération d'échantillons de prédiction du bloc actuel sur la base des informations de mouvement ; et génération d'échantillons de reconstruction du bloc actuel sur la base des échantillons de prédiction. Les informations de fanion de MMVD indiquent si des informations de mouvement sont ou non dérivées lorsque la MMVD est appliquée au bloc actuel, et le bloc de codage de CPR est un bloc codé en utilisant une image actuelle contenant le bloc actuel en tant qu'image de référence.
