Abstract

Systems and methods for digitally switching x-ray emission systems include a digital switching unit operable to selectively connect a low voltage driving circuit to activate a field emission type electron emitting construct such that electrons are accelerated by a high voltage towards an anode target thereby generating a pulse of x-rays. The x-ray pulses directed towards a scintillator are detected by an optical imager when its shutter is open. Shutter signals and the activation signals may be synchronized to produce required x-ray detection profiles.

La présente invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés de commutation numérique de systèmes d'émission de rayons x comprenant une unité de commutation numérique pouvant fonctionner afin de connecter sélectivement un circuit d'attaque basse tension destiné à activer une construction d'émission d'électrons de type à émission de champ de telle sorte que les électrons sont accélérés par une tension élevée vers une cible anodique, générant ainsi une impulsion de rayons x. Les impulsions de rayons x dirigées vers un scintillateur sont détectées par un imageur optique lorsque son obturateur est ouvert. Des signaux d'obturateur et les signaux d'activation peuvent être synchronisés afin de produire des profils de détection de rayons x requis.
