Abstract

The present application intends to provide a non-invasive method to evaluate the reproductive function in female subjects. The method disclosed herein provides a mean to assess female reproductive function and ovarian response based on the number of CGG repeats and AGG interspersion number and pattern on each of the FMR1 gene alleles. Using a mathematical formula, it is possible to calculate an allelic score that differentiates those subjects with a better reproductive performance. This solution can thus be used routinely as a biomarker for predicting infertility or in the selection of ideal ovarian donor candidates.

La présente invention a pour but de fournir un procédé non invasif pour évaluer la fonction reproductrice chez des sujets féminins. Le procédé selon l'invention fournit une moyenne pour évaluer la fonction reproductrice féminine et une réponse ovarienne sur la base du nombre de répétitions CGG et du nombre d'interspertions et du motif d'AGG sur chacun des allèles du gène FMR1. A l'aide d'une formule mathématique, il est possible de calculer un score allélique différenciant ces sujets avec une meilleure performance de reproduction. Cette solution peut ainsi être utilisée couramment en tant que biomarqueur pour prédire l'infertilité ou dans la sélection de candidats donneurs ovariens idéaux.
