The invention concerns a companion robot system comprising an autonomously guided machine having at least one means for imaging the front of the robot and a computer controlled by a program for processing the acquired images and analysing leg movements in order to calculate the guidance instructions in real time. The system further comprises a unit for detecting movements of the operator, intended to be worn by the operator to be monitored, the equipment comprising an inertial unit and a communication module for transmitting data generated by said inertial unit to a communication module of said autonomously guided machine and to the computer.

L'invention concerne un système de robot-compagnon comprenant un engin à guidage autonome comportant un moyen d'imagerie de l'avant du robot et un calculateur commandé par un programment de traitement des images acquises et d'analyse des mouvements des jambes pour calculer en temps réel les instructions de guidage. Ledit système comporte en outre un boîtier de détection des mouvements de l'opérateur destiné à être porté par l'opérateur à suivre, ledit équipement comportant une centrale inertielle et un module de communication pour la transmission des données générée par ladite centrale inertielle à un module de communication dudit engin à guidage autonome et audit calculateur.
