A steel wire comprising the following elements: 0.30 - 0.80 wt % carbon, 0.25 - 0.45 wt% silicon, 0.20 - 0.70 wt% manganese, 0.008 - 0.020 wt% titanium, 0.001 - 0.004 wt% zirconium, wherein at least 50% of the microstructure of the steel wire comprises structures that are sufficiently small to be unresolvable at a magnification of 300X.

L'invention concerne un fil d'acier comprenant les éléments suivants : 0,30 à 0,80 % massique de carbone, 0,25 à 0,45 % massique de silicium, 0,20 à 0,70 % massique de manganèse, 0,008 à 0,020 % massique de titane, 0,001 à 0,004 % massique de zirconium, au moins 50 % de la microstructure du fil d'acier comprenant des structures qui sont suffisamment petites pour ne pas être résolues à un grossissement de 300X.
