Die Erfindung betrifft einen Elektrolyten für eine Zinkbatterie, insbesondere für eine sekundäre Zink-Luft-Batterie. Der Elektrolyt umfasst eine wässrige Lösung einer oder mehrerer organischer Verbindungen, wobei in der wässrigen Lösung mindestens ein neutrales Molekül, ein Anion oder ein Zwitterion vor- liegt, das mit Zink-Ionen einen löslichen Komplex bildet, und wobei eine oder mehrere der organischen Verbindungen eine Pufferwirkung für den pH-Wert der wässrigen Lösung aufweisen. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner eine Zinkbatterie, umfassend eine Zink enthaltende Kathode, eine Anode und einen zwischen der Kathode und der Anode angeordneten erfindungsgemäßen Elektrolyten.

The invention relates to an electrolyte for a zinc battery, in particular for a secondary zinc-air battery. The electrolyte comprises an aqueous solution of one or more organic compounds, wherein: present in the aqueous solution is at least one neutral molecule, an anion or a zwitterion, which forms a soluble complex with zinc ions; and one or more of the organic compounds act as buffers for the pH value of the aqueous solution. The invention also relates to a zinc battery comprising a zinc-containing cathode, an anode and an electrolyte according to the invention disposed between the cathode and the anode.

L'invention concerne un électrolyte pour une batterie au zinc, en particulier pour une batterie zinc-air secondaire. L'électrolyte comprend une solution aqueuse d'un ou de plusieurs composés organiques, au moins une molécule neutre, un anion ou un zwitterion, présent(e) dans la solution aqueuse, formant un complexe soluble avec des ions zinc, et un ou plusieurs des composés organiques ayant un effet tampon sur le pH de la solution aqueuse. L'invention concerne également une batterie au zinc, comprenant une cathode contenant du zinc, une anode ainsi qu'un électrolyte selon l'invention placé entre la cathode et l'anode.
