The invention relates to a hydrothermal method for synthesising a composite zeolite material of clinoptilolite and phillipsite, useful for removing arsenic from drinking water, which comprises: (a) mixing the raw material: a reaction gel formed by a mixture of diatomite, potassium hydroxide and water is added to a stirred reactor provided with a heating jacket, in a molar ratio of: SiO2/Al2O3=11.5; K2O/SiO2=0.8 and H2O/K2O=191, the mixture being stirred at 120-140 rpm for at least 10 minutes and maintained at 130-170°C for at least 5.5 days at autogenous pressure in a static system; (b) cooling: the composite material of clinoptilolite and phillipsite is left to cool for 6-10 hours; and (c) filtering, washing and drying: the material is filtered and washed with plenty of double-distilled water and is finally dried at 120°C for at least 15 hours. The invention also relates to the zeolite material and its use.

Un proceso hidrotermal para sintetizar un material zeolítico compuesto de clinoptilolita y phillipsita, útil para la remoción de arsénico desde agua potable, el cual comprende: (a) mezclado de la materia prima: se debe adicionar a un reactor provisto de agitación y de una camisa calefactora, un gel de reacción compuesto por una mezcla de diatomita, hidróxido de potasio, además de agua, en una proporción molar: SiO2/Al2O3=11,5; K2O/SiO2=0,8 y H2O/K2O=191, esta mezcla se debe mantener agitada a 120 – 140 rpm durante al menos 10 minutos, y a 130-170°C durante al menos 5,5 días a presión autógena en un sistema estático; (b) enfriamiento: el material compuesto clinoptilolita y phillipsita se deja enfriar durante 6-10 h; y (c) Filtrado, lavado y secado: este material se filtra y lava con abundante agua bidestilada y finalmente se seca a 120°C durante al menos 15 h. La présente invention concerne un procédé hydrothermal pour synthétiser une matière zéolitique composée de clinoptilolite et de phillipsite, utile pour l'élimination d'arsenic présent dans de l'eau potable, lequel procédé comprend: (a) le mélange de la matière première de la manière suivante: on doit d'abord ajouter à un réacteur pourvu d'un moyen d'agitation et d'une enveloppe chauffante, un gel de réaction composé d'un mélange de diatomite, d'hydroxyde de potassium, en plus d'eau, suivant une proportion molaire telle que: SiO2/Al2O3=11,5; K2O/SiO2=0,8 et H2O/K2O=191, ce mélange doit être maintenu agité à 120-140 tpm pendant au moins 10 minutes et à une température de 130-170°C pendant au moins 5,5 jours à pression autogène dans un système statique; (b) le refroidissement: la matière composite clinoptilolite et phillipsite est laissée se refroidir pendant 6-10 h; et (c) le filtrage, le lavage et le séchage: cette matière est filtrée et lavée avec une grande quantité d'eau bidistillée et en dernier lieu elle est séchée à 120°C pendant au moins 15h. La présente invention concerne également la matière zéolitique et son utilisation.
