A RolP expansion device (210) can be used to expand the amount of available radio ports (310) at a RolP gateway. The RolP expansion device (210) includes a microcontroller (340) for relaying audio and signaling information between the USB bus of a host device (e.g., a RolP gateway device or computer) and a plurality of radio ports (310). According to some embodiments, the RolP expansion device (210) may include serial (330) and/or general-purpose input/output (GPIO) ports (320) to provide additional functionality.

L'invention concerne un dispositif d'extension du RoIP (210) qui peut être utilisé pour étendre la quantité de ports radio disponibles (310) au niveau d'une passerelle du RoIP. Le dispositif d'extension du RoIP (210) comprend un microcontrôleur (340) destiné à relayer des informations audio et de signalisation entre le bus USB d'un dispositif hôte (par exemple un dispositif de passerelle RolP ou un ordinateur) et une pluralité de ports radio (310).
