Abstract

A method and apparatus for a method that includes providing at least one sensor mounted to a structure on a vehicle. The at least one sensor is located at a sensor height relative to ground level. A first object is located on the vehicle at a fixed distance from the at least one sensor and at a variable distance from ground level. The variable distance estimated as a function of a vehicle load. The sensor height adjusted based on the variable distance to account for any changes in the vehicle load. A second object is spaced at a vertical distance from ground level. An adjusted sensor height used for comparison to the vertical distance of the second object from ground level.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil pour un procédé qui comprend la fourniture d'au moins un capteur monté sur une structure sur un véhicule. Ledit capteur est situé à une hauteur de capteur par rapport au niveau du sol. Un premier objet est situé sur le véhicule à une distance fixe dudit capteur et à une distance variable du niveau du sol. La distance variable est estimée en fonction d'une charge du véhicule. La hauteur du capteur est réglée sur la base de la distance variable pour tenir compte de tout changement de la charge du véhicule. Un second objet est espacé à une distance verticale du niveau du sol. Une hauteur de capteur ajustée est utilisée pour être comparée à la distance verticale du second objet à partir du niveau du sol.
