A system for authenticating a vehicle includes a processor subsystem; and memory comprising instructions, which when executed by the processor subsystem, cause the processor subsystem to perform the operations comprising: receiving, at a cloud service, vehicle location data describing a location of the vehicle at a first time; receiving attestation data from a witness device, the attestation data corresponding to the first time; producing a validation result by analyzing the vehicle location data and the attestation data to determine whether the location of the vehicle at the first time is consistent with the attestation data; and providing the validation result to a user device for presentation on the user device.

La présente invention concerne un système d'authentification d'un véhicule comprenant un sous-système de processeur ; et une mémoire comprenant des instructions, qui, lorsqu'elles sont exécutées par le sous-système de processeur, amènent le sous-système de processeur à effectuer les opérations suivantes : recevoir, au niveau d'un service en nuage, des données d'emplacement du véhicule décrivant un emplacement du véhicule à un premier instant ; recevoir des données d'attestation d'un dispositif témoin, les données d'attestation correspondant au premier instant ; générer un résultat de validation en analysant les données d'emplacement du véhicule et les données d'attestation pour déterminer si l'emplacement du véhicule au premier instant est conforme aux données d'attestation ; et fournir le résultat de validation à un dispositif d'utilisateur pour le présenter sur le dispositif d'utilisateur.
