Abstract

Systems and methods are disclosed related to generating an interactive user interface that enables a user to move, rotate or otherwise edit 3D point cloud data in virtual 3D space to align or match point clouds captured from LiDAR scans prior to generation of a high definition map. A system may obtain point cloud data for two or more point clouds, render the point clouds for display in a user interface, then receive a user selection of one of the point clouds and commands from the user to move and/or rotate the selected point cloud. The system may adjust the displayed position of the selected point cloud relative to the other simultaneously displayed point cloud(s) in real time in response to the user commands, and store the adjusted point cloud position data for use in generating a new high definition map.

L'invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés associés à la génération d'une interface utilisateur interactive permettant à un utilisateur de déplacer, de faire tourner ou également d'éditer des données de nuage de points 3D dans un espace 3D virtuel afin d'aligner ou de faire correspondre des nuages de points capturés à partir de balayages LiDAR avant la génération d'une carte haute définition. Un système peut obtenir des données de nuage de points pour au moins deux nuages de points, rendre les nuages de points pour un affichage dans une interface utilisateur, puis recevoir une sélection utilisateur de l'un des nuages de points et des commandes de l'utilisateur afin de déplacer et/ou de faire tourner le nuage de points sélectionné. Le système peut régler la position affichée du nuage de points sélectionné par rapport à l'autre/aux autres nuage(s) de points affiché(s) simultanément en temps réel en réponse aux commandes d'utilisateur, et mémoriser les données de position de nuage de points réglés pour une utilisation dans la génération d'une nouvelle carte haute définition.
