A method for antenna selection, performed by a user equipment, UE, in a wireless communication system includes determining signal performance of a signal received by the UE. The signal is received by an array antenna of the UE for communication with a network node of the wireless communication system. The method includes determining a signal decay rate associated with the signal performance of the signal, and replacing the array antenna with an omni-directional antenna of the UE for communication with the network node, based on the signal decay rate. Related devices are also described.

Un procédé de sélection d'antenne, exécuté par un équipement utilisateur (UE) dans un système de communication sans fil, consiste à déterminer les performances d'un signal reçu par l'UE. Le signal est reçu par une antenne réseau de l'UE pour communiquer avec un nœud de réseau du système de communication sans fil. Le procédé consiste à : déterminer un taux de décroissance de signal associé aux performances du signal ; et remplacer l'antenne réseau par une antenne omnidirectionnelle de l'UE pour communiquer avec le nœud de réseau d’après le taux de décroissance du signal. L'invention concerne également des dispositifs associés.
