Abstract

This invention describes a method and a device for microfluidic separation enhancement according to size. An asymmetric obstacle in the shape of cambered hydrofoil, placed at the downstream of the microfluidic channel increases the distance between particles of different sizes, which have been partially separated at the upstream of the microfluidic channel, resulting an enhancement in the separation efficiency. Thus, microchannel length is decreased, resulting a decrease in hydraulic resistance and footprint of the microchannel.

La présente invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif d'amélioration de sla éparation microfluidique en fonction de la taille. Un obstacle asymétrique en forme d'hydroptère bombé, placé en aval du canal microfluidique, augmente la distance entre des particules de différentes tailles, qui ont été partiellement séparées en amont du canal microfluidique, conduisant à une amélioration de l'efficacité de séparation. Ainsi, la longueur du microcanal est réduite, ce qui entraîne une diminution de la résistance hydraulique et de la place occupée par le microcanal.
