The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). An electronic device and an operation method thereof are provided for testing performance of a radio frequency integrated circuit (RFIC) in a wireless communication system. The method includes checking a connection state of elements operable as combiners and a plurality of RF chains of the RFIC; performing control to output RF signals from the plurality of RF chains; acquiring an integrated signal by combining the RF signals via the combiners; and determining a quality indicator for the RFIC based the integrated signal.

La présente invention concerne un système de communication de pré-5e génération (5G) ou 5G, apte à prendre en charge des débits de données supérieurs à ceux d’un système de communication de 4e génération (4G), tel qu’une technologie d’évolution à long terme (LTE). L'invention concerne également un dispositif électronique et son procédé de fonctionnement pour tester les performances d'un circuit intégré radiofréquence (RFIC) dans un système de communication sans fil. Le procédé comprend la vérification d'un état de connexion d'éléments pouvant fonctionner en tant que combineurs et d'une pluralité de chaînes RF du RFIC ; la réalisation d'une commande pour émettre des signaux RF à partir de la pluralité de chaînes RF ; l'acquisition d'un signal intégré par combinaison des signaux RF par l'intermédiaire des combineurs ; et la détermination d'un indicateur de qualité pour le RFIC sur la base du signal intégré.
