The present invention provides a rebaudioside D-rich stevia plant body that contains rebaudioside D in a larger amount compared to a wild type stevia species. Further, the present invention provides: a method for producing the rebaudioside D-rich stevia plant body; and dry leaves and an extract obtained from the aforesaid plant body.
