Abstract

[Problem] To provide a liquid crystal polymer with which it is possible to obtain a resin-molded article having excellent mechanical strength and a small linear expansion coefficient in the TD direction, while also having an equivalent or lower melt viscosity than the original liquid crystal polymer before introduction of a specific ionic structural unit. [Solution] A liquid crystal polymer comprising: a structural unit (I) derived from an aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acid; a structural unit (II) derived from an aromatic diol compound; a structural unit (III) derived from an aromatic dicarboxylic acid; and a structural unit (IV) derived from an aromatic monomer having a metal salt-type ionic group and a polymerizable group.

Le problème décrit par la présente invention est de fournir un polymère à cristaux liquides avec lequel il est possible d'obtenir un article moulé en résine ayant une excellente résistance mécanique et un petit coefficient de dilatation linéaire dans la direction TD, tout en ayant également une viscosité à l'état fondu équivalente ou inférieure à celle du polymère à cristaux liquides d'origine avant l'introduction d'un motif structural ionique spécifique. À cet effet, l'invention concerne un polymère à cristaux liquides comprenant : un motif structural (I) dérivé d'un acide hydroxycarboxylique aromatique; un motif structural (II) dérivé d'un composé diol aromatique; un motif structural (III) dérivé d'un acide dicarboxylique aromatique; et un motif structural (IV) dérivée d'un monomère aromatique ayant un groupe ionique de type sel métallique et un groupe polymérisable.

[課題]特定のイオン性構成単位の導入前の元の液晶ポリマーと同等あるいはより低溶融粘度でありながら、TD方向の線膨張係数が小さく、機械的強度に優れる樹脂成形品を得られる液晶ポリマーの提供。 [解決手段]本発明による液晶ポリマーは、芳香族ヒドロキシカルボン酸に由来する構成単位(I)と、芳香族ジオール化合物に由来する構成単位(II)と、芳香族ジカルボン酸に由来する構成単位(III)と、金属塩型のイオン性基および重合性基を有する芳香族モノマーに由来する構成単位(IV)とを含むものである。
