Provided is a high-purity 3,4-epoxycyclohexylmethyl methacrylate that is useful as a starting material for functional materials and optical members having excellent transparency and heat resistance. Also provided is an alicyclic epoxy compound product in which the purity of 3,4-epoxycyclohexylmethyl methacrylate is 98.0 wt% or greater and the total content of a compound represented by formula (a) and a compound represented by formula (b) is 1.3 wt% or less. Preferably this alicyclic epoxy compound product has a Hazen color number of 25 or less.

L'invention concerne un méthacrylate de 3,4-époxycyclohexylméthyle de pureté élevée qui est utile en tant que matériau de départ pour des matériaux fonctionnels et des éléments optiques ayant une excellente transparence et une excellente résistance à la chaleur. L'invention concerne également un produit composé époxy alicyclique dans lequel la pureté du méthacrylate de 3,4-époxycyclohexylméthyle est de 98,0 % en poids ou plus et la teneur totale en un composé représenté par la formule (a) et en un composé représenté par la formule (b) est de 1,3 % en poids ou moins. De préférence, ce produit composé époxy alicyclique présente un indice de couleur trouble inférieur ou égal à 25.

透明性及び耐熱性に優れた機能材料、光学部材等の原料として有用な高純度の3,4-エポキシシクロヘキシルメチルメタクリレートを提供する。 3,4-エポキシシクロヘキシルメチルメタクリレートの純度が98.0重量%以上であり、下記式(a)で表される化合物及び下記式(b)で表される化合物の総含有量が1.3重量%以下である脂環式エポキシ化合物製品。この脂環式エポキシ化合物製品としては、ハーゼン色数が25以下であることが好ましい。
