Provided is a vapor deposition material from which a base layer can be formed which is capable of uniformly forming a water and oil-repellent layer comprising a condensate of a fluorine-containing compound having a reactive silyl group. This vapor deposition material contains an oxide including: silicon; and at least one element I selected from the group consisting of a Group 1 element, a Group 2 element, a Group 13 element, a Group 15 element, and a transition metal element of the periodic table, and has a water content ratio of less than 2.0 mass%.

L'invention fournit un matériau de dépôt en phase vapeur qui permet de former une sous-couche permettant à son tour de former de manière uniforme une couche hydrofuge et oléofuge constituée d'un produit de condensation d'un composé fluoré possédant un groupe silyle réactif. Ce matériau de dépôt en phase vapeur contient un oxyde qui contient à son tour un silicium, et au moins une sorte d'élément chimique (I) choisie dans un groupe constitué d'un élément du groupe 1, d'un élément du groupe 2, d'un élément du groupe 13, d'un élément du groupe 15 et d'un élément métal de transition, et présente une teneur en eau inférieure à 2,0% en masse.
