The present invention provides a broadcast transmission system in which, even if a new terrestrial wave broadcast and a current terrestrial digital television broadcast coexist, a television receiver which can reproduce a video according to a signal based on the current terrestrial digital television broadcast transmission scheme can appropriately reproduce the video. La présente invention concerne un système de transmission de diffusion dans lequel, même si une nouvelle diffusion hertzienne terrestre et une diffusion de télévision numérique terrestre actuelle coexistent, un récepteur de télévision qui peut reproduire une vidéo selon un signal basé sur le schéma de transmission de diffusion de télévision numérique terrestre actuelle peut reproduire de manière appropriée la vidéo. 本発明は、新地上波放送と、現状の地上デジタルテレビジョン放送とが共存した場合でも、現状の地上デジタルテレビジョン放送の伝送方式に基づく信号に応じた映像を再生可能なテレビジョン受像機が当該映像を適切に再生できる放送用送信システムを提供する。放送用送信システムは、一方の偏波アンテナ送信用のデータのうちの第1の画質再生用のデータにおける最も低い周波数のキャリアで送信されるデータにおいて、第1の間隔に基づくヌルキャリアに代えてパイロット信号が配置されるように、一方の偏波アンテナ送信用のデータを生成し、他方の偏波アンテナ送信用のデータにおいて、パイロット信号が配置された箇所に応じた箇所にはヌルキャリアが配置されるように、他方の偏波アンテナ送信用のデータを生成する。
