This battery cooling system for cooling a battery pack, which is for driving a vehicle and has a plurality of unit cells, has: a battery pack (1); a cooling fluid (12) for cooling the battery pack; a cooler (16) for cooling the battery pack by performing heat exchange between the battery pack and the cooling fluid; and a radiator (18) for discharging the heat from the cooling fluid. Metal components (2a, 2b, 3c, 4, 5, 7) of the battery pack have: a main body part (30) composed of a metal material; and an electrically-insulating cover layer (32) that covers the main body part.
