The present invention accurately performs position estimation using an image. A position estimation system 10 comprises: a reference image database 11 in which a reference image and information which indicates a position have been associated and stored; an acquisition unit 12 that acquires an estimation image to be subjected to position estimation, and information related to the angle-of-view of the estimation image; an image processing unit 13 that enlarges or reduces at least one image among the reference image and the estimation image on the basis of the acquired information related to the angle-of-view of the estimation image; and an estimation unit 14 that, using the enlarged or reduced image, compares the reference image and the estimation image and estimates a position related to the estimation image from the information indicating the position associated with the reference image.

La présente invention réalise avec précision une estimation de position à l'aide d'une image. Un système d'estimation de position (10) comprend : une base de données d'images de référence (11) dans laquelle une image de référence et des informations qui indiquent une position ont été associées et stockées; une unité d'acquisition (12) qui acquiert une image d'estimation devant être soumise à une estimation de position, et des informations relatives à l'angle de vision de l'image d'estimation; une unité de traitement d'image (13) qui agrandit ou réduit au moins une image parmi l'image de référence et l'image d'estimation sur la base des informations acquises relatives à l'angle de vue de l'image d'estimation; et une unité d'estimation (14) qui, à l'aide de l'image agrandie ou réduite, compare l'image de référence et l'image d'estimation et estime une position relative à l'image d'estimation à partir des informations indiquant la position associée à l'image de référence.

画像を用いた位置の推定を正確に行う。 位置推定システム10は、参照用画像と位置を示す情報とを対応付けて記憶した参照用画像データベース11と、位置推定の対象となる推定用画像、及び当該推定用画像の画角に係る情報を取得する取得部12と、取得された推定用画像の画角に係る情報に基づいて、参照用画像及び推定用画像の少なくとも何れか一方の画像の拡大又は縮小を行う画像処理部13と、拡大又は縮小が行われた画像を用いて、参照用画像と推定用画像との比較を行って、当該参照用画像に対応付けられた位置を示す情報から当該推定用画像に係る位置を推定する推定部14とを備える。
