Provided is a damping material that is able to exhibit superior damping performance and that enables a reduction in weight while maintaining high rigidity. This damping material, which is used by being installed in an automobile panel 300, comprises a viscoelastic layer 200 and a constraining layer 100 provided on one surface of the viscoelastic layer 200, and the relationship between the strain εa of the surface 100a of the constraining layer 100 which is on the opposite side from the viscoelastic layer and the strain εb of the surface 100b of the constraining layer 100 which is in contact with the viscoelastic layer is 0<εa/εb<1.

L'invention concerne un matériau d'amortissement qui peut présenter des performances d'amortissement supérieures et qui permet une réduction du poids tout en maintenant une rigidité élevée. Ce matériau d'amortissement, qui est utilisé en étant installé dans un panneau d'automobile, comprend une couche viscoélastique 200 et une couche de contrainte 100 disposée sur une surface de la couche viscoélastique 200, et la relation entre la contrainte εa de la surface 100a de la couche de contrainte 100 qui est sur le côté opposé à la couche viscoélastique et la contrainte εb de la surface 100b de la couche de contrainte 100 qui est en contact avec la couche viscoélastique est 0<εa/εb<1.

優れた制振性能を発揮することができるとともに、高い剛性を有しつつ、軽量化を図ることが可能な制振材を提供する。自動車のパネル300に設置するようにして使用される本発明の制振材は、粘弾性層200と、粘弾性層200の一方の面に設けられた拘束層100とを備え、拘束層100の粘弾性層とは反対側の面100aのひずみεaと、拘束層100の粘弾性層と接する側の面100bのひずみεbとの関係が、0<εa/εb<1である。
