A variable power optical system (ZL) includes, lined up in order from the object side, a first lens group (G1) having a positive refractive power, a second lens group (G2) having a negative refractive power, a third lens group (G3) having a positive refractive power, a fourth lens group (G4) having a positive refractive power, and a rear lens group (GR), wherein the interval between adjacent lens groups is changed in order to vary the power, the rear lens group (GR) includes a focusing lens group that moves during focusing, the third lens group (G3) is formed from at least one lens having a positive refractive power, and the following conditional expression is satisfied. 0.20(FR)
Système optique à puissance variable (ZL) qui comprend, alignés dans l'ordre depuis le côté objet, un premier groupe de lentilles (G1) ayant une réfringence positive, un deuxième groupe de lentilles (G2) ayant une réfringence négative, un troisième groupe de lentilles (G3) ayant une réfringence positive, un quatrième groupe de lentilles (G4) ayant une réfringence positive et un groupe de lentilles arrière (GR), l'intervalle entre des groupes de lentilles adjacents étant modifié afin de varier la puissance, le groupe de lentilles arrière (GR) comprend un groupe de lentilles de focalisation qui se déplace pendant la mise au point, le troisième groupe de lentilles (G3) est formé à partir d'au moins une lentille ayant une réfringence positive et l'expression conditionnelle suivante est satisfaite. 0,20 < f3/f4 < 3,50, où f3 est la longueur focale du troisième groupe de lentilles (G3), et f4 est la longueur focale du groupe de lentilles final.
