This patent discloses system for generating additional thrust from the turbine of an exoskeletal turbofan jet engine. System consists of externally located rim driven ducted propeller coupled to the inner rotary drum of the exoskeletal turbofan jet engine via gear mechanism. Since the bypass thruster is separate from turbojet engine its nozzle can be appropriately designed to maximize thrust.

La présente invention concerne un système permettant de générer une poussée supplémentaire à partir du moteur à réaction à turboréacteur à double flux à exosquelette. Le système est constitué d'une hélice carénée entraînée par un rebord situé à l'extérieur, accouplée au tambour rotatif interne du moteur à réaction à turboréacteur à double flux à exosquelette par l'intermédiaire d'un mécanisme d'engrenages. Comme le propulseur de dérivation est séparé du moteur à réaction à turboréacteur, sa buse peut être conçue de manière appropriée pour maximiser la poussée.
