Abstract

In this invention we have a Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) launcher which consists of a UAV launcher base with a support frame onto which the UAV can be mounted in any required orientation with the help of a biasing element part of the frame. Also there is a coupler which couples the UAV onto the support frame and powers on the battery operated UAV. This triggers an initialisation module in UAV to calculate the lifting force that it will have to generate to follow the launch trajectory programmed in it and also so that the UAV reaches the expected altitude with the right speed. The initialisation module also checks that the battery of the UAV is substantially charged and captures imagery around the launch trajectory to check for any obstacles during launching of the UAV. The coupler releases the UAV just before the launch.
