Abstract

In this invention we ensure smooth descent of a drone by taking an initial image of landing area or the geofence of the landing region, to make sure the landing region is a substantially planar surface. The landing engine in the drone then computes a safe flight path or descent route for landing of the drone. At different points in the flight path or at different geographical coordinates during descent the drone again takes image of the landing region. Homography is continuously computed to make sure all images taken during descent by the drone trace to the same planar surface and if the above fails then we abort the landing of the drone.

Dans la présente invention, on assure une descente régulière d'un drone en prenant une image initiale de la zone d'atterrissage ou le périmètre géographique de la région d'atterrissage, pour s'assurer que la région d'atterrissage est une surface sensiblement plane. Le moteur d'atterrissage dans le drone calcule ensuite une trajectoire de vol sûre ou un itinéraire de descente pour l'atterrissage du drone. En différents points du trajet de vol ou à des coordonnées géographiques différentes pendant la descente, le drone prend à nouveau l'image de la région d'atterrissage. L'homographie est calculée en continu pour s'assurer de toutes les images prises pendant la descente par le drone à la même surface plane et si tel est le cas, on abandonne l'atterrissage du drone.
