Abstract

A method for registering a 3D mesh and a 3D volume image of a patient's teeth obtains a 3D volume image of the patient's teeth in an occlusion position, the 3D volume image containing at least one jaw portion. A contour surface is generated to form the 3D mesh corresponding to at least one of lingual and vestibular surfaces of the teeth from the 3D volume image. A registered mesh is provided in an occlusion position, the registered mesh having at least one of the vestibular and lingual surfaces. The registered mesh is registered with the generated contour surface content and displayed with the 3D volume image.

L’invention concerne un procédé d'alignement d'un maillage 3D et d'une image de volume 3D des dents d'un patient, qui obtient une image de volume 3D des dents du patient dans une position d'occlusion, l'image de volume 3D contenant au moins une partie de mâchoire. Une surface de contour est générée pour former le maillage 3D correspondant à au moins l'une des surfaces linguale et vestibulaire des dents à partir de l'image de volume 3D. Un maillage aligné est disposé dans une position d'occlusion, le maillage aligné ayant au moins l'une des surfaces vestibulaire et linguale. Le maillage aligné est aligné avec le contenu de surface de contour généré et affiché avec l'image de volume 3D.
