Abstract

The present invention pertains to a method for producing a multilayer polysaccharide fibre based panel provided with a surface coating that is impervious to water, comprising providing a first polysaccharide fibre based sub-panel having a bottom side and a top side, providing a second polysaccharide fibre based sub-panel which is congruent to the first sub-panel, the second panel having a bottom side and a top side, applying a layer of a hot melt adhesive on the top side of the first sub-panel, stacking the second sub-panel in a spatially aligned relationship on the first sub-panel by lying the bottom side of the second sub-panel on the layer of hot melt adhesive, applying a coating material on the top side of the second sub-panel, leading to an intermediate product comprising the stacked first and second sub-panel with an intermediate layer of the hot melt adhesive and the coating material on its top side, heating the intermediate product such that the hot melt adhesive reaches a temperature above its melting temperature, while applying pressure on the intermediate product, cooling down the intermediate product, thereby forming the multilayer panel with its water impervious coating. The invention also pertains to a multi-layer panel produced when using this method.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de production d'un panneau à base de fibres de polysaccharide multicouche pourvu d'un revêtement de surface qui est imperméable à l'eau, consistant à utiliser un premier sous-panneau à base de fibres de polysaccharide ayant un côté inférieur et un côté supérieur, à utiliser un second sous-panneau à base de fibres de polysaccharide qui est congruent au premier sous-panneau, le second panneau ayant un côté inférieur et un côté supérieur, à appliquer une couche d'un adhésif thermofusible sur le côté supérieur du premier sous-panneau, à empiler le second sous-panneau dans une relation spatialement alignée sur le premier sous-panneau en reposant sur le côté inférieur du second sous-panneau sur la couche d'adhésif thermofusible, à appliquer un matériau de revêtement sur le côté supérieur du second sous-panneau, à obtenir un produit intermédiaire comprenant les premier et second sous-panneaux empilés avec une couche intermédiaire de l'adhésif thermofusible et le matériau de revêtement sur son côté supérieur, à chauffer le produit intermédiaire de sorte que l'adhésif thermofusible atteigne une température supérieure à sa température de fusion, tout en appliquant une pression sur le produit intermédiaire, à refroidir le produit intermédiaire, formant ainsi le panneau multicouche avec son revêtement imperméable à l'eau. L'invention concerne également un panneau multicouche produit au moyen dudit procédé.
