Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Einstellen einer Zellkonzentration und/oder einer Partikelkonzentration in einer Dispensiereinrichtung mit einer Fluidkammer, in die eine flüssige Probe eingebracht wird, die eine Flüssigkeit und Zellen und/oder Partikel aufweist, wobei die Zellkonzentration und/oder die Partikelkonzentration, insbesonder ein einem Bereich, der Dispensiereinrichtung bestimmt wird und die bestimmte Zellkonzentration und/oder Partikelkonzentration mit einem Sollwert verglichen wird und abhängig von einem Ergebnis des Vergleichs die in der Fluidkammer befindlichen Zellen und/oder Partikel, insbesondere wahlweise, bewegt werden oder nicht bewegt werden.
