A switching process for switching in an autostereoscopic display device(1) from a first view mode to a second view mode, wherein the autostereoscopic display device(1) comprises a display panel(2), a lenticular device(4) and means(9) for applying a voltage, the process comprising the application of a switching voltage across both switching electrodes(5b,7b) of the lenticular device(4) wherein a ramp voltage is applied that increases during a ramp period of at least 0.50 second from a starting voltage at which the lenticular device(4) is in its first view mode to a final voltage at which the lenticular device(4) is in its second view mode, wherein during at least 0.40 second of the ramp period, the ramp voltage is at an intermediate voltage that is in the range of 5-60% of the minimal voltage for the second view mode; and the final voltage is equal to or higher than minimal voltage for the second view mode.

Un processus de commutation pour la commutation dans un dispositif d'affichage autostéréoscopique (1) d'un premier mode de visualisation à un second mode de visualisation, le dispositif d'affichage autostéréoscopique (1) comprenant un panneau d'affichage (2), un dispositif lenticulaire (4) et des moyens (9) pour appliquer une tension, le procédé comprenant l'application d'une tension de commutation à travers les deux électrodes de commutation (5b,7b) du dispositif lenticulaire (4), une tension de rampe étant appliquée qui augmente pendant une période de rampe d'au moins 0.5 seconde à partir d'une tension de départ à laquelle le dispositif lenticulaire (4) est soumis dans son premier mode de visualisation à une tension finale à laquelle le dispositif lenticulaire (4) est soumis dans son second mode de visualisation, pendant au moins 0.4 seconde de la période de rampe, la tension de rampe est à une tension intermédiaire comprise entre 5 et 60 % de la tension minimale pour le second mode de visualisation; et la tension finale est égale ou supérieure à une tension minimale pour le second mode de visualisation.
