A liquid crystal display apparatus, comprising: a common polarizer, a liquid crystal layer and a backlight module, the backlight module comprising: a diffuser, a multi-layer film polarizer, a λ/4 waveplate, a light source, a light guide plate and a reflector, the diffuser being arranged beneath the liquid crystal layer, the multi-layer film polarizer consisting of multiple film layers and being arranged directly beneath the diffuser, the λ/4 waveplate being arranged between the multi-layer film polarizer and the light guide plate, the light guide plate being arranged beneath the λ/4 waveplate, the reflector being arranged beneath the light guide plate.

Appareil d'affichage à cristaux liquides comprenant un polariseur commun, une couche de cristaux liquides et un module de rétroéclairage. Le module de rétroéclairage comprend un diffuseur, un polariseur à film multicouche, une lame d'onde λ/4, une source de lumière, une plaque de guidage de lumière et un réflecteur, le diffuseur étant disposé au-dessous de la couche de cristaux liquides, le polariseur à film multicouche étant constitué de multiples couches de film et étant disposé directement sous le diffuseur, la lame d'onde lambda/4 étant agencée entre le polariseur à film multicouche et la plaque de guidage de lumière, la plaque de guidage de lumière étant disposée en dessous de la lame d'onde λ/4, le réflecteur étant agencé sous la plaque de guidage de lumière.
