Described here are systems and methods for quantifying vessel features in non-contrast microvasculature images obtained with an ultrasound imaging system. Vessel features that are quantified include, but are not limited to, vessel structure features (e.g., number of vessels, vessel density, number of branch points), vessel diameter, and vessel tortuosity. Morphological filtering is used to generate vessel segments from which the quantitative vessel features can be reliably quantified.

L'invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés permettant de quantifier des caractéristiques de vaisseaux dans des images de microvascularisation non contrastées obtenues avec un système d'imagerie à ultrasons. Les caractéristiques de vaisseaux qui sont quantifiées comprennent, entre autres, des caractéristiques de structure de vaisseaux (par exemple, un nombre de vaisseaux, une densité de vaisseau, un nombre de points de ramification), un diamètre de vaisseau et une tortuosité de vaisseau. Un filtrage morphologique est utilisé pour générer des segments de vaisseau à partir desquels les caractéristiques quantitatives du vaisseau peuvent être quantifiées de manière fiable.
