Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting device may identify multiple demodulation reference signal (DMRS) symbols corresponding to multiple DMRS ports of a multiple input multiple output configuration. The transmitting device may generate multiple phase-rotated and precoded DMRS symbols by applying an orthogonal cover code, a phase rotation scheme, and a precoding matrix to the identified DMRS symbols. The transmitting device may map the phase-rotated and precoded DMRS symbols to time-frequency resources corresponding to multiple antenna ports, and transmit a DMRS based on the mapped phase-rotated and precoded DMRS symbols. The transmitting device may transmit the DMRS using multiple antennas that correspond to the antenna ports.

L'invention concerne des procédés, des systèmes et des dispositifs pour les communications sans fil. Un dispositif de transmission peut identifier de multiples symboles de signal de référence de démodulation (DMRS) correspondant à de multiples ports DMRS d'une configuration à entrées multiples et sorties multiples. Le dispositif de transmission peut générer de multiples symboles DMRS à rotation de phase et précodés par application d'un code de couverture orthogonal, d'un schéma de rotation de phase et d'une matrice de précodage aux symboles DMRS identifiés. Le dispositif de transmission peut mapper les symboles DMRS à rotation de phase et précodés en ressources temps-fréquence correspondant à de multiples ports d'antenne, et transmettre un DMRS sur la base des symboles DMRS à rotation de phase et précodés mappés.
