A system may identify a defined rectangular picture area and render video corresponding to the defined rectangular picture area. The system may receive a video bitstream comprising a picture having a header and may receive data specifying a structure of the picture. The system may parse the data specifying the structure of the picture for an identifier corresponding to a defined rectangular area in the first picture and for a tile index of a top left tile in the defined rectangular area. The system may determine one or more tiles comprised in the defined rectangular area based on the identifier corresponding to the defined rectangular area and the tile index of the top left tile. The system may reconstruct the picture including a sub-picture that comprises the defined rectangular area based upon the identifier corresponding to the defined rectangular area. The computing system may render the sub-picture in the defined rectangular area.

L'invention concerne un système pouvant identifier une zone d'image rectangulaire définie et rendre une vidéo correspondant à ladite zone. Le système selon l'invention peut recevoir un train de bits vidéo comprenant une image pourvue d'un en-tête, ainsi que des données spécifiant une structure de l'image. Ce système peut analyser les données spécifiant la structure de l'image pour un identifiant correspondant à une zone rectangulaire définie dans la première image et pour un indice d'un pavé gauche supérieur dans la zone rectangulaire définie. Le système selon l'invention peut déterminer au moins un autre pavé compris dans la zone rectangulaire définie, en fonction de l'identifiant correspondant à la zone rectangulaire définie et de l'indice du pavé gauche supérieur. Le système peut reconstruire l'image contenant une sous-image comprenant la zone rectangulaire définie, en fonction de l'identifiant correspondant à la zone rectangulaire définie. Le système informatique peut rendre la sous-image dans la zone rectangulaire définie.
