A fluid flow control device includes a valve body defining an inlet, an outlet, and a fluid flow path extending therebetween, a rotatable valve member at least partially disposed in the valve body, an attenuator operably coupled to the valve body, and a retention member disposed within the valve body. The rotatable valve member is rotatable within the fluid flow path from a shut-off position to an open position for controlling the flow of fluid through the fluid flow path. The attenuator defines an attenuator body that includes a plurality of noise-reducing apertures. The retention member is positioned against a portion of the attenuator body to retain the attenuator within the valve body.

Un dispositif de commande d'écoulement de fluide comprend un corps de vanne délimitant une entrée, une sortie et un trajet d'écoulement de fluide s'étendant entre celles-ci, un élément de vanne rotatif disposé au moins partiellement dans le corps de vanne, un atténuateur accouplé de manière fonctionnelle au corps de vanne, et un élément de retenue disposé à l'intérieur du corps de vanne. L'élément de vanne rotatif peut tourner à l'intérieur du trajet d'écoulement de fluide d'une position fermée à une position ouverte pour commander l'écoulement de fluide à travers le trajet d'écoulement de fluide. L'atténuateur délimite un corps d'atténuateur qui comprend une pluralité d'ouvertures de réduction de bruit.
