A sensor device for detecting voltage in a conductor cable includes a sense electrode to be disposed over a surface of the conductor cable to cover a sense region having a sense axial width and a sense circumferential length and a reference electrode to be disposed over the surface of the conductor cable to cover a reference region. The reference region has an axial position adjacent the axial position of the sense region and has a reference circumferential length greater than the sense circumferential length. The sensor device further includes a charge measurement circuit connected in series between the sense electrode and the reference electrode to measure a charge measurement and circuitry to compare the charge measurement to a threshold to detect a presence of the voltage in the conductor cable.

La présente invention concerne un dispositif de type capteur permettant de détecter une tension dans un câble conducteur et comprenant une électrode de détection destinée à être disposée sur une surface du câble conducteur pour couvrir une région de détection ayant une largeur axiale de détection et une longueur circonférentielle de détection et une électrode de référence devant être disposée sur la surface du câble conducteur pour couvrir une région de référence. La région de référence présente une position axiale adjacente à la position axiale de la région de détection et a une longueur circonférentielle de référence supérieure à la longueur circonférentielle de détection. Le dispositif de type capteur comprend en outre un circuit de mesure de charge connecté en série entre l'électrode de détection et l'électrode de référence pour mesurer une mesure de charge et un circuit pour comparer la mesure de charge à un seuil pour détecter une présence de la tension dans le câble conducteur.
